A chair has 8 pressure sensors located at different points on the seat, back and arms. Each sensor responds to the amount of pressure applied by the person seated on the chair. A projection of eight different body parts can be activated by moving on the chair. Each one is a video study in the vibration/oscillation of the moving body. The speed of the vibration is determined by the amount of pressure applied to the sensor. In corespondence with each image is a sound that alters its frequency with the change in pressure. The chair, an ordinary everyday object, responds in an extraordinary way. It transforms the actions of the body into audio/visual output. The interaction tunes the participants to their own bodies, making them aware of the subtle changes needed to produce the moving image and its accompanying sound scape.
